Validation
Fuel & thermal performance
Fuel and heat are two readings of the same event. EX10D programmes record them together so that a fuel result can be corroborated by an independent physical measurement.

How to read these numbers
Fuel percentages are specific to the vehicle, duty cycle and conditions of each programme. The range across trials — from 9% to 59.2% — reflects genuine variation, not measurement noise.
Thermal results are the more transferable indicator. A large, repeatable drop in exhaust gas temperature under matched load is difficult to produce through driving variation, which is why it is used as the primary corroborating measurement in every programme.
